The 4 Rules of Rallying

1. Ready: Once the rally starts, split step and be in a stance that produces a smooth body-turn and the fastest possible first step towards the ball.

2: Read: So much goes into this rule. One has to see what’s coming off your opponent’s racket, the speed, the spin, the direction, and the height of the ball. During this stage, keep your feet moving. This will help you react more efficiently to you opponents shot.

3. Respond: Once in position and depending where the ball is on court, decide how to respond to your opponents ball; neutral, offensive or defensive.

4. Recovery: Recover back to your neutral position. Then repeat and have FUN!
